How a AI and automation engagement works
Every AI and automation engagement follows the same principle: start small with a pilot that has a measurable outcome, then scale what works. Durations depend on the service, from 2–4 weeks for a chatbot to 5–8 weeks for an RPA program.

Strategy first, if needed
If priorities are unclear, we start with AI strategy and roadmap (typically 3–6 weeks) to rank use cases by return and decide build versus buy. If you already know the problem, we go straight to a pilot.
Fix the process
Before anything is automated, we map the workflow and remove waste using Lean Six Sigma methods, so the automation fits the real process instead of a version of it that only exists in a procedure manual.
Build a pilot
We build one working solution in your environment: an agent (3–5 weeks), a chatbot (2–4 weeks), Document AI (4–6 weeks) or an RPA bot (5–8 weeks), with the outcome measured against the baseline.
Scale and hand over
Once the pilot proves its value, we extend it, train your team, document how it works and provide 30 days of support. A retainer is available if you want us to keep improving it.
What it costs
AI and automation projects are quoted as a fixed fee per phase, so a pilot is priced on its own before any decision to scale. We work on fixed fees, not hourly rates: one price, a defined scope and a timeline, agreed before anything starts. If the work takes us longer than planned, that is our risk, not yours, and any change in scope is re-quoted before the next phase rather than added to an invoice.
The main things that move the price are:
- The type of solution: agent, chatbot, RPA bot, Document AI or prompt work
- How many systems the solution reads from or writes to
- The condition of your data and documents
- Governance, security review and the level of human approval required

Which AI service should we start with?
If you are not sure where AI fits, start with an AI strategy engagement. If you already have a specific, repetitive problem such as invoice processing or support questions, a focused pilot is usually the faster route to a result.
Our AI pilots went nowhere. Why would this be different?
Pilots often stall because they were built as demos, not around a real workflow with an owner and a measure of success. We start from the process, agree the outcome up front and build in your systems so the pilot can go straight into use.
Do we need to buy new AI software?
Often not. We build on tools you already own where we can, such as Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Automate and SharePoint, and only recommend new platforms when they are clearly the better fit.
How do you keep AI safe and under control?
Every solution has guardrails proportionate to the risk: limits on what it can access, human approval for high-stakes actions, logging and a governance framework your team understands.
What is the difference between RPA and AI agents?
RPA bots follow fixed rules for stable, repetitive tasks such as moving data between systems. AI agents plan and carry out multi-step tasks that need some judgment. Many processes use both, with people approving the steps that matter.
